INVITATION TO THE PUBLIC HEARINGS ON ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE SERVICES [30, 31 May & 01 June 2007]
The above matter refers.
Further to the South African Human Rights Commission’s request for written submissions on the above matter from members of the public, to which, we have received a tremendous response, we hereby invite you /your institution to the public hearings scheduled for the 30, 31 May and 01 June 2007 to be held at our Head Office in Johannesburg. Kindly note that the hearings will be for half a day on 30 May & 01 June 2007 and whole day on 31 May 2007.
Of the written submissions received, the Commission will select about twenty institutions/individuals to make a brief oral presentation (about 20 minutes). The selected institutions/individuals will be notified in advance.
All submissions will be considered in order to ensure that a fair cross section of all stakeholders and role players will be represented including government, beneficiaries, NGOs, civil society and academia.
Kindly RSVP on or before 14 May 2007 to our Ms J Joni whose contact details appear below.
